Virtua Tennis 3 was developed by Sumo Interactive in 2006 - 2007 and published by SEGA. I worked on this title as a Quality Assurance Tester for SEGA Europe. I joined this project after completing Afterburner: Black Falcon and worked on the PSP, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game.
Virtua Tennis 3 is the second arcade sequel to Sega's tennis game franchise. The arcade version of Virtua Tennis 3 is powered by the PC-based Sega Lindbergh arcade system board. Ports for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3 consoles
In Virtua Tennis, you take on the world's greatest tennis stars on any court surface worldwide; with newly added players and improvements to the game's AI, Virtua Tennis 3 has upped the challenge to becoming the top seed of the tennis world. In Career Mode, gamers will travel the world and take on the biggest stars of the tennis world. Improvements to the Player Creation Mode allow gamers to customize their own tennis star with increased detail like never before.
This was the first game I tested on multiple formats, starting on the PSP, moving onto the Xbox 360 and finally on the PC As a QA Tester, I was involved in this games functionality testing. This included general bug testing by playing through the game from top to bottom. I remember the mini-games in Virtua Tennis 3 were fun and encouraged a lot of competition between the testers.
